The Institute of Caribbean Studies is a department in the Faculty of Humanities and Education at The University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica. We have an exciting slate of interdisciplinary programmes and experiences for you to engage with intellectually and socially. The ICS offers both full-time and part-time graduate programmes that support our students' ability to perform well in today’s globalized and highly competitive world. Our programmes encourage interdisciplinary projects from a range of academic fields within the humanities and social sciences such as anthropology, economics, literary studies, sociology, psychology, history, media studies, political science, music, art and linguistics. We offer three graduate programmes:

  • Master of Arts (M.A.) in Cultural Studies
  • Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Cultural Studies
